The fascinating thing about this board is that the case and switches of the VCS 2600+ can be used. To do this, remove the boards inside the ATARI VCS 2600+ and replace them with this "PLUS" board.
The menu and all other functions are optional. It is also possible to operate this board without Teensy 4.1, using only normal old VCS 2600 cartridges, with 100% compatibility and no waiting time. Turn it on... play immediately, and that without video/audio lags and other problems.
For the "PLUS" board, the usual 3 ICs are still needed: 6507, 6532, and TIA (it is possible to switch between NTSC and PAL on the board). This is not emulation, so you avoid the problems of an emulated environment.
Optional HDMI is also offered by integrating an internal S-VIDEO to HDMI converter board.

Note: Operation requires a TIA chip, CPU 6507, and I/O 6532 chip, which can be taken from old VCS 2600 consoles and used. Currently, not all .bin ROM files are supported by the internal ROM loader, but continuous efforts are being made to support as many formats as possible.
